In 1999, SWS and the Ramsar Bureau in Gland, Switzerland, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation that fosters collaboration between the two groups. Since then, Eric Gilman and Bill Streever, co-chairs of the SWS International Committee, have developed a working relationship with the Ramsar Bureau. This issue's International Column describes the blossoming relationship between SWS and Ramsar.
