During a sampling to determine the management of stingless bees in central Mexico, the presence of a hive of Melipona beecheii was recorded on the farm of “Las Palmas”. This record is important as it extends the distribution of the species 48 km north of its northernmost record in Puebla.

Durante un muestreo para determinar el manejo de abejas sin aguijón en el centro de México, se registró la presencia de una colmena de Melipona beecheii en la finca “Las Palmas”. Este registro es importante ya que extiende la distribución de la especie 48 km al norte de su registro más norteño en Puebla.
