1 June 2004 Two New Species of Epuraea (Orthopeplus) (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae) from Mexico

Abstract

Two new species of Epuraea (Orthopeplus) are described from central and southern Mexico and E. (O.) quadricollis (Horn) is redescribed. Epuraea (O.) setosa new species is described from the Mexican highlands near Durango and Cerro Potosi, and E. (O.) plenasulca new species is described from the Capitol City (District Federal) and the Michoacan District. Both new species are compared to Epuraea (Orthopeplus) quadricollis (Horn), and a key is provided for all three species.
