Abstract

The larva, deutonymph, calyptostasic nymphs and adults of Hirstiella diolii sp. nov. (Acari: Pterygosomatidae) are described from captive specimens of the rhinoceros iguana, Cyclura cornuta Bonnaterre (Reptilia: Iguanidae). A key to species is given for adult females of Hirstiella.
