Abstract

A new genus and species, Tarsobisulcus angulomarginis n. gen., n. sp. (Acari: Tarsonemidae: Pseudotaesonemoidini) is described based on females collected on larvae of the gall midge Xylodiplosis nigritarsis Zett. (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) in oak wood from Norway. Some aspects of the morphology, systematic relationships and biology of Tarsobisulcus angulomarginis n. gen., n. sp. are discussed.
