Abstract

Encarsia fernandae Sánchez & Myartseva, sp. nov., parasitoid of the whitefly Aleurodicus rugioperculatus Martin, 2004, collected on Persea americana Mill. in Puebla, Mexico is described. A key for the identification for females of the genus Encarsia (noyesi group) of Mexico was prepared. A new junior synonym for Encarsia noyesi (Hayat) (=Encarsia narroi Gómez y García) was proposed.
