Abstract

We evaluated the duration of infectivity of two isolates of avian paramyxovirus-1 using a model distilled water system. Both viruses remained infective for extended periods with 1-log₁₀ reduction times ranging from 370 (4 C) to 6 (37 C) days. Minimal effects related to pH (5.4–8.4 at 28 C) were observed.
