This volume year (Volume 27, 2011) of the Journal of Coastal Research is dedicated to our friend and colleague Terry Robin Healy (1944–2010). He was a member of the Editorial Board of the JCR and a Trustee of the Coastal Education & Research Foundation for many years. He was a coastal scientist at Waikato University in Hamilton, New Zealand. We hereby pay tribute to this leader in the marine sciences by dedicating this year's coastal research papers in his memory.
