Abstract

Two definition errors have been found in our published paper (Niu et al. 2014): (1) l_x should be the fraction of individuals surviving from birth (egg hatch) to age x for all stages through the oldest adult [and not “… for adults, the survival rate from birth to age x”]; and (2) T should be defined as mean age of parenthood in the cohort [and not “… the development time from egg to adult emergence”]. The formulae, computations, and results are correct. We apologize for these mistakes.
