Abstract

I recently had the opportunity to chat briefly with Karel Du Toit, a law enforcement officer in the Namaqualand area in the Northern Cape region of South Africa. The CSSA Conservation Committee recently approved funding to assist in the fight against plant theft from the wild in Namaqualand, and as you will find out in the interview below, DuToit is on the front lines in the fight against illegal removal of plants.
