Abstract

Two new species of orb-weaver spiders of the genus Larinia Simon, 1874 are described from the dry forests of the Mahajanga region, in north-western Madagascar: Larinia mariaranoensis sp. nov. and L. foko sp. nov. Additionally, Larinia dasia (Roberts, 1983), previously known only from Mahé Island in the Seychelles, is first recorded for the country.
