MANAGEMENT OF ARTHROPOD PESTS FOR SUBTROPICAL FRUITS

Abstract

Insect management programs have not been adequately developed for avocados, limes, mangos, papayas, lychees, and other subtropical fruit. Fruit flies, mites, scale insects and thrips are some of the insect pests of such fruit in Florida and other subtropical areas. Parasites and resistant varieties show promise as biological control agents.
